CPAC REINTRODUCED

On January 5th, 2021, a new, updated version of CPAC was introduced to City Council. The Chicago Alliance held legal briefings for alderpeople so they could get up-to-date on the latest changes. There were 33 alderfolks who attended the briefings. If you'd like to read the new legislation, you can download it from the city clerk website here. If you'd like to take a peek at the powerpoint used to educate alders in the briefings, you can find that here.

CFIST UPDATES

We are demanding that the Governor use his executive power to pardon ALL torture survivors and release those at risk of becoming infected with COVID-19. We demand the Illinois Department of Corrections fix these horrendous conditions in Illinois prisons.

About Us

Since 1973, when it was born from the movement to free Angela Davis and all political prisoners, the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression has defended the rights of oppressed people in Illinois and around the world.

We defend the civil liberties of workers, activists, and prisoners. We struggle against white supremacy, the prison-industrial complex, and state violence. We demand community control of the police and full representation for Black people and other poor and oppressed people at all levels of government.
