How to Get Involved

  • Become a Volunteer

The Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression is driven by members mobilizing their communities for justice. There are dozens of ways to get involved, and everyone’s skills are needed to move forward. Currently, the Alliance is working to build field teams in all 50 wards to fight for the Empowering Communities for Public Safety Ordinance. In addition to ongoing neighborhood outreach, CAARPR volunteers organize teach-ins and rallies, provide office support, contribute media and design, and meet with elected officials, among other actions.

Please fill out the volunteer form here, and someone from The Chicago Alliance will contact you to help find how your time, talents, and relationships can be activated in the campaign for community control of police.

  • Become a Member

Membership in the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression is $25.00 a year ($15 for the unemployed and students, and free for those currently or formerly incarcerated) and open to all without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or religion.

If you would prefer to pay with cash or check, please mail or deliver your membership dues to the Alliance office: 6353 S Cottage Grove Ave, Chicago IL, 60637

Please include your name, pronouns, phone number, and if you are interested in volunteering with us in addition to being a dues-paying member.

(Our dues structure was updated July 2022 to conform to the dues structure of the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression structure)

Please fill out the membership application form here.

  • Donate

It's time to take this movement to the next level! We demand the democratic right of the people to decide how and by whom their communities are policed. Will you support our work?

Your support will help us continue our work - we use every dollar we earn, and we do not rely on massive philanthropic grants or corporate funding.

Your donation will cover our phone banking, door knocking efforts (paying for printing, banners, t-shirts, pens, clipboards, and buttons), and help us organize rallies and demonstrations (i.e., purchasing signs, renting a generator for sound equipment, water to give out to the crowds).

This is a historic moment in our struggle to end police impunity. Your donations help us to continue what we have been doing for the past 47 years. We are committed to making sure that our elected officials continue to support the movement for community control of the police, and to #FreeThemAll.

We have a duty to fight for justice, and to put an end to police terror in Chicago.

Can you make a contribution to our organization as we continued building our campaigns?
