CAARPR District Council Candidate Trainings for February 2027 Elections
Do you want to hold the police accountable? CAARPR is offering training sessions for those interested in running for District Council who are committed to police accountability and the broader struggle against racist policing. These sessions will give you the information you need to get started with petitioning in order to get on the ballot in the February 2027 elections.
The District Councils were created by the passage of the Empowering Communities for Public Safety (ECPS) ordinance in 2021, which we see as a major step on the pathway toward community control of the police. District Councilors are tasked with bringing the community together around issues of police accountability and public safety. To learn more about the position and what it takes to run for it, sign up for one of our training sessions below. All sessions are virtual and will take place via zoom.
Once you sign up below, you'll receive an email with a zoom link for the training.
